Polyvinylidene fluoride shows a higher tensile strength, pressure resistance and dimensional stability than the related PTFE, but friction and insulation properties are lower. PVDF has a high mechanical strength and toughness at lower temperature and it’s self-extinguishing.
PVDF具有比同類的氟化物有更高的拉抗、抗壓和衝擊強度，但光滑性和電氣絕緣性稍差。PVDF具有低溫條件下的高強度和高韌性，可自行熄滅。PVDF對氯化物(Chlorine)、溴化物(Bromine)以及能量射線均可保持穩定
